# POLIURETANO E SEDUTE Il poliuretano è il componente principale nella Produzione di sedute imbottite. Esso può essere ricavato da maxiblocchi tramite taglio a caldo oppure schiumato, cioè iniettato all'interno di una cavità stampo in forma liquida. Le forme in poliuretano vengono incollate a una struttura portante (fusto in legno o metallo) e usate per la cuscineria. Le forme in poliuretano vengono infine avvolte con fibre artificiali (poliestere) o naturali (piuma d'oca) per raggiungere il livello di comfort desiderato. Le fibre vengono infine rivestite con tela di cotone o sintetica accoppiata. Questo ultimo rivestimento "in bianco" suggella il fine produzione del semilavorato pronto per "indossare" il rivestimento finale in pelle o tessuto. Le sedute imbottite di alta gamma si differenziano per una serie di plus riscontrabili nel tempo: la robustezza delle strutture portanti e delle cinghiature, la qualità dei poliuretani (densità differenziate e gomme ad alta resilienza), delle ovatte e delle fodere, la cura particolare nella manifattura di cuscini seduta e schienale, con l'utilizzo di fibre speciali o piuma d'oca, l'attenzione nei dettagli e nelle cuciture, la qualità delle pelli e dei tessuti. Negli ultimi anni molti mercati stranieri per l'utilizzo domestico e quasi tutti i mercati contract hanno preteso requisiti specifici in materia di autoestinguenza. Oggi possiamo dire che tutti i più importanti produttori di poliuretani, fibre e tessuti hanno una gamma che risponde alle certificazioni più severe in materia come il British standard oppure il Classe 1IM italiano. Altro importante fattore da rimarcare è la assoluta crescita tecnologica degli ultimi anni nella Produzione di Cuscineria per Outdoor, sia per quanto riguarda i materiali di imbottitura sia per i Tessuti e le Pelli.
